Zulu-Eos: “Take To The Sky”

Saw this image, Take To The Sky by zulu-eos, in my RSS feeds this morning and it really stood out to me. I really like the color palette and the mixture of illustrated and painted elements. The movement of the lines also speaks well to the title of the piece and captures that moment of jumping or reaching upwards to the sky.

Matt’s E-Garage Sale

If you’re a Nikon owner or in the market for a used DSLR, Matt Nicolosi is selling some nice gear on his blog (I’d love that 17-55mm 2.8). He also has some of the best looking sale item images I’ve seen.

The Ronin

I’m a big fan of Rob Chiu’s work (aka The Ronin) and have written a few times about some of his projects. He’s quickly becoming one of my favorite motion designers. He is also a very gifted photographer and when comparing his still and motion portfolios, you can tell that his design style carries over throughout his work. He’s carving out a niche in design conference show titles and this one for Flash on the Beach is incredible. The visuals are almost haunting and his timing to the audio provided by Hecq is perfect. Definitely worth clicking through his site.

Vincent Laforet

Came across Vincent Laforet’s portfolio via Scott Hansen’s blog this morning and was just amazed with his work. I love some of the angles he uses, especially the high-up, overhead shots. It’s amazing how simply changing the perspective of your scene gives it a completely new meaning. He also has some incredible tilt-shift shots. Definitely head over and check out the rest of his work.
