If I could pursue a different visual field for a living I would absolutely explore the world of visual effects and compositing. Catching a glimpse at what’s involved and achieved in this video for HBO’s series John Adams gets me all excited.

Bernard takes video of buildings & ships and distorts/mirrors them which makes them look like spaceships. Pretty creative idea. My favorites are the ones at night which start about halfway through.

So, this is nothing short of incredible! Made with Brushes for the iPad and a lot of talent.

Granted this was for World Cup 2006, but it’s still the best anthem for England! I don’t care what happened this past Saturday, my enthusiasm in my team remains unshaken.

Just in time for the World Cup and absolutely my new favorite commercial. Seriously, how much fun would it have been to concept out this script?! I cannot wait until June 10th!

Made on a $5k budget. I never tire of shorts like this. Shot in 2 days in downtown LA with a Red camera. It’s just amazing what you can do with time, equipment you can pick up at your local Apple store, and a compelling story. Stunning video by Mike Matas. Music is perfect and I love how he did several captures of certain scenes so that when played back like this you’re able to focus a little more on those moments.
