Twitter and Relational Communication
After resisting the great behemoth for almost 2 years, I have signed-up and joined Twitter. I've been aware of Twitter since the beginning when it debuted at SXSW 2007 and has skyrocketed since. Apple Patents
AppleInsider has an interesting article showcasing some recent patents made by Apple. These patents show that Apple has been working on ideas for a 3D OS X user interface. The 2D "desktop" style of interacting with a computer has seen little revision since it's introduction. Obviously the major players in the OS market are hesitant to introduce change at such a fundamental level. Not that it won't eventually happen though. Radiohead | 12 Cams
Wow. For you Radiohead fans or really any fan of live music this is a brilliant extension of the concert experience. One of the features of Radiohead's current tour is that they had several (I'm guessing 12) camera operators covering the live performance on stage and then projecting those streams onto giant screens behind the band. Fairly common these days with bands who perform at large venues. AT&T Mobile chief Ralph de la Vega recently spoke on future capabilities for the iPhone. According to the executive, by the time you've woken up the in morning the iPhone of the future will have already downloaded the day's news and sent a signal to your coffee maker to start brewing your morning cup (although I can already do this on my dirt cheap coffee maker with automatic timer that I got at Wal-Mart, take that iPhone!). Another idea is that you'll be able to wave your iPhone at your TV and basically "throw" your daily feeds up on the screen. ...
