



The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas recently went under major renovation and the client wanted to improve their online presence. The major priorities for the redesign were to showcase the hotel's casino, venues, new accommodations, and provide users with an efficient booking path. To accomplish this I decided to integrate large photographs into the layout and anchor the main content window with a booking module that would be accessible on every page of the site. I also built a large footer that would house the main contact pieces for the hotel as well as highlight it's involvement with social networks, using the metaphor of playing cards as social network icons.
In addition to a redesign I built comps for a mobile version of the site. The main focus for the mobile version was to provide not only a fast loading companion site for users wanting to learn more about the hotel, but give users actually on-site at the hotel instant access to what's happening around them. The idea is that someone staying at the hotel could quickly find out what shows are happening that day, where they're playing, what time, and either buy tickets, share with friends or add that event to their mobile calendar.
