Using Procreate on the iPad, I explored ideas for letterforms that looked like they were made from rebar (hence the name). I began with a few key characters to discover commonalities as well as opportunities to infuse personality.
I taught myself how to use Glyphs to bring the font to life. I learned a lot about font design in the process, such as the difference between spacing vs kerning and how to utilize masters to expand the glyphset into multiple weights and styles.
